To my knowledge this is the first time this event has been held in Canada. (Tillsonburg, Ontario) I attended for one day this week and it was inspiring to say the least. There was both Controline and RC Scale aircraft
built to the highest standard. A couple of really interesting RC planes were a Black Widow from France which flew very true to scale, powered by 2 - .91 4 strokes and a Ryan Fireball (Hal Parenti from the US )using a 4 stroke on the front and a Turbine for the rear engine.
In Controline ther was a fantastic Lancaster from Poland with
retracts, flaps, brakes and dropped two parachutes.
The flying in both categories was excellent considering the very hot and windy weather conditions.
Even though my main interest is E-flight, it was a great experience seeing the some of the best Scale modelers ( and models) in the world competing.
I wish all the competitors the best of luck in this final day of competition.
