Hobby Lobby cessna skymaster 337 first flights

It was found after these first flights that the 3cell TP 2100 pack had too much of a voltage drop and that is why it does not seem to have enough power. at full throttle the pack was at 8 volts and 17amps ( just under 150 watts).

the watts were measured with some better batteries and just under 300 watts was achieved with the polyquest 20 2500mah pack. The battery tray will have to be enlarged a little to make room for this battery.

EDIT: video's removed to make room for other video's.

I just flew mine today 4 times, 3 with stock battery 1 with 3s2p TP 1320 Pro Lite. I changed my prop to GWS 8060 HD to increase pitch speed and reduce Amp draw. Both battery produce around 200W full throttle and the plane take off nicely. I mostly fly partial throttle as this plane glides itself very well.

The twin motors with stock (GWS 9050 HD prop clone) props are Amp hog that draws around 25 Amp together with the stock battery. TP2100 Gen I and Gen II cannot provide 25 Amp. You need as least the Prolite version.

I find that two TP 1320 Prolite 3 cell batteries fits perfectly into the stock battery box. The only problem is that this make the plane a little tail heavy I need to add some weight in the front.

you say 3s2P 1320...do you mean 2640mah or are you using 660mah cells?

I read this as having a 3S2P setup for a total of 2640mAH

Certainly a good idea as parallel will provide you with an "Effective" Capacity that is higher because the Under Load Voltage is higher in this type of setup and you can fly longer and with more Propeller RPMs than with the struggling 3S1P setups.
