Ken Reilly said that the Springer is a 30' workboat that is built to 1/20th scale.

I think 1/16 to 1/25 fits best to the Springer hull. But in the end only the superstructure defines the scale - that's part of the game.

Mine is 1/25... (not yet finished)

Doctor Adagio, shoorley shum mishtake, you are in dire risk of being struck-off the Medical Register with such a blatently erroneous prescription. My own esteemed GP stated that no spirits to be consumed for at least 12 months. Red wine, preferably Chilean, is recommended. I am negotiating with three vinyards in that country at the moment for bulk purchase of same, as always for medicinal purposes. As a last resort I could be persuaded to suffer some Australian Chardonnay, my postal address is ...........Hic. Thank you for your concern. Springer planning being greatly influenced by enthanol abuse, there you go , back on thread !

This means my Tomspringer is a 7:1... the original EGG Tomcat is only about 70mm... or is it a 1:37.95 if related to the original F-14?

BTW, finally the upgrade is on its way (France, according to Fedex tracking)

Rats! my daughter just saw the pics of 'Barbie Springer' and now I have a request for one of those from the shipyard supervisor! Just what I needed to hear I got 14 other things I wanted to build but now mom is in on it....Fortunately (in this case soley) I am not working right now so no money.

Local paper here has the bad news that the Cromarty Rose , the dinky little two-car ferry has been withdrawn after suffering a breakdown last year. The good news is that she will be replaced this month by a new build FOUR-CAR vessel. I smell a stretched Springer coming on. Pictures of the new one when she arrives.
