Mini Bladerunner & Micro Mosquito
Hi,
Interactive Toy Concepts will come with two new toy helicopters this summer. As some of you already know the Mini Bladerunner Rescue Helicopter started selling in Radio Shack stores last week and the Micro Mosquito will hopefully come in August / September. I am currently heading for Hong Kong to follow up on technical issues on the different ITC helicopters. When I am back in a little over one week I will be able to give more information about the new products, but in the mean time here are some details about them: Mini Bladerunner: Rotor diameter: 240 mm Weight: 45 grams Control: 2 ch. digital FM Motors: N20 (same as Bladerunner) Battery: 250 mAh li-po Flight time: about 10 min. Micro Mosquito: Rotor diameter: 160 mm Weight: 25 grams Control: 3 ch. digital FM Motors: 7 mm coreless + 4 mm for tail Battery: 160 mAh li-po Flight time: about 10 min. Petter |

Hi all,
I am just back from my last trip to China where I was working on the Mini Bladerunner and the Micro Mosquito together with ITC. The second batch of Mini Bladerunners for RS is now being assembled. We have done some small adjustments to try to increase the rotor stability slightly and also increase the forward speed a little. However, the helicopter is designed to just move very slowly forward to make it easy for beginners to control it and to get good forward speed you probably still need to attach a small weight to the nose of the helicopter. On the Micro Mosquito we are still working on the final adjustments to the electronics and software. If everything goes well the startup of production is planned for in the end of June. Normally it takes some time from production start until you see it in the shops. It is up to ITC to announce when and where it will be officially launched and I will not comment any further on this. Attached is another drawing of the MM and here: http://www.prox.no/MM-video.wmv you can find a video clip of one of my MM prototypes. Petter |

Nice work Petter.
I just ordered the Mini BladeRunner. Good thing these helis are small, I am running out of shelf space! Will the Micro Mosquito also be sold through Radio Shack in the US? |

This is getting interesting. On Interactive Toy Concepts web page they say the Micro Mosquito as "Coming Soon" but I emailed them twice and attempted the toll free phone number (the recording referred me where to buy BladeRunner parts) and have not been able to get any response from them. My wife stopped by a Radio Shack and they heard nothing about a Micro Mosquito.
"Coming Soon"?? |

Yep,, I have been waiting for the Micro Mosquito as well. This would be a good little toy for the basement as well as just a lot of fun to fly around the house.

new interactive heli at wallyworld
Wallyworld slipped one in on us. They have a bladerunner that seems to use the same bladerunner rotors, but has no tail motor like the one at radio shack. (it's larger than the one at radio shack) It's something like $49.97. No, I didn't get one. by the way, it says "bladerunner series", and it's not a bladerunner II that we didn't get in the states.

I wonder if WallyWorld is selling Asian knockoffs of the Bladerunner ? I go to WallyWorld like 3 times a year and I have to be dragged in, screaming and kicking.

Hi,
Yes, my understanding is that the Micro Mosquito will be available in Radio Shack stores for 69$ in the beginning of September. The first batches are already shipped from the factory. With respect to the 2 ch. Bladerunner mentioned above - it is correct that ITC made a "large" Bladerunner without the tail rotor. Petter |

RS link for Micro Mosquito
Ok everyone .... here is a link to the Radio Shack web page for the Micro Mosquite
http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...tId=2255015&cp It is listed as out of stock, but Petter did say that it would be the first of September before they are out. They are $70 US dollars and come with a transmitter, 2 rubberbands(?), charger base station and the ever elusive owners manual that I never read until I have shredded my last good nerve. ![]() Well crap ! Looks like I will be buying another heli.

Hi,
Yes, as I understands it we are still some days away from the shipment of Micro Mosquitos arriving. The picture in the RS add is not correct (see the first posts of this thread for correct pictures) and there are no rubber bands only large gears looking like pulleys. Petter |

That is interesting that RS will carry Micro Mosquito + the new Picco Z that I have been trying to order but is always out of stock. Looks like I will be buying one of each if they ever become available.
I tried the mini Blade Runner rescue thingy but I didn't keep that one. I still have a Spin Blade that I fly every once in a while. RS is becoming a pretty good source of small helis (if they would just get some inventory available). -Marty |
