Last 4 nights down this way have been 12-18 knots onshore to windy for 3D but a couple of beers in the sun sitting on a sand dune with a glider helps make up for it.

With the CD sized motor your weight sounds good, have fun.

Hi Malves

I been flying your great YAK for some time now.
I was thinking of making it 60% of the originale size, just to play with in my back yard with 3gr servos og 300mAh 3S battery. Do you have your drawing in dwg or some other format, which I can use to down scale it? I think it's possible to scale and tile the drawing from PDF, but I don't know how ;(..

Great plane bro.

Cheers.

Tomas

We have been used to building planes out of many parts because that's how the manufacturers have to pack and ship it - as small as possible. But since this is just a plan, then why not just cut one big piece?
Only the LE will have CF. Size is 35"WSx28". LG will be 2 CF rods with pants/wheels made out of EPP or depron. Fishing line bracing instead of CF struts for the wings should keep it lighter, too.

Version 4 is here and pics in my blog. Just scroll down.
Full fuse version is here.

Take the A3 tiled one and then select scaled printing in Adobe use A4 paper and you get 68% of full sized.

Hey Tomas,

No DWG files. Since I've designed it with Photoshop, all I have is either PDF or PSD files. But Tim's way should work just fine. Sorry, bro.

Is it possible to get the PDF without margins and in A4 (about 68% of the originale scale)?

Is it possible to build the YAK in just 3mm depron?

Happy pappy

try this conversion to A4 tiled of version 4. I havn't printed it but it should be OK. Just make sure you print it at 100% and don't allow adobe to shrink it to 96% like it does to fit it on the page.

Hi Boss,

I never did one. Most of us in the world use metric sized paper

But if you see below and follow the same instructions for the other sized ones (don't allow shrink to fit).

Is there a set plans for the full fuse version..? I have not done a full fuse in a while and this looks like a good one to start on.

Hi

Just wantet to post some pictures of my baby YAK. I think it's about 60% of the original size. I think it might be a bit small, but I am going to try it on saturday, if the wind is calm.

It weighs about 170gr with all the gear and battery (800mAh 2S, little heavy).

Once again, great drawings Malves. Very easy to cut and put together. Thanks.

Happy flying.
