Has anyone ever upgraded a Turbo Vee?
I was thinking of running a Li-po but not sure which size.
Has anyone upgraded the motor? What Would work?

A lot of boaters have worked over the Turbo Vee. They can be made almost twice as fast as stock .I wouldn't expect more though as the hull design has limits. Different motor ,Prop ,esc and at least good cells are all needed. n.h.schmidt

How many Volts have you used? Thats a 3 Cell Li-po right?
I'm unsure how the cell rating on a ni-cad is comparable to li-po

It's about a 3:1 ratio 3S may be about 9 cells nickle.
I used 8 cells for a year and then last year I used 9 cells. My hammer is just a touch wider and heavier, but uses all the same esc and motor as the turbo vee II
