No water rudder--just a center beam of basswood from the step to the rear of the float.

The floats were described in detail in the Sept-Oct 2008 time frame on this thread. Here is the PDF

Thanks for re posting these, Pat. In order to taxi with these.. is rudder enough to turn? I had a set of floats on a J-3 Cub and they worked fine, but I barely had enough room in the pond to make a U turn.

You don't need a water rudder with these floats--the TM will turn with the normal rudder.

Here are some shots of my TM400 from Thanksgiving. Photos courtesy my lovely fiancée.

Sorry for the lack of H2O in the shots - My Moth is yet to get her feet wet. Grass takeoffs and landings with the pontoons are a hoot though.

Yeah, Spencer... I forgot to comment on it. We used to land on the grass with floats... many moons ago. I fly helicopters, quads, run cars and boats... but I think the TM is my favorite. The others are too hectic at times. I like to put my Moth in a large slow turn...then trim it that way. Then I can walk off without the Tx and take pictures of it.

@Aeronca.. Someone actually gave me a round piece of wood about the size of a silver dollar. It was a "Round Tuit" printed on it. lol

Yeah, if there's no wind it will fly in large circles by itself until my timer goes off.
