No point in calling Mothaholics - they are out of stock at the moment LOL.

LMAO!!! But, the one I really want to try is the new one with ailerons, suspension and all the detail. They don't cost much for a RTF TM.

I'm not going to fix the 25ft. moth. The moth that I just bought from Ray is ARF.. just needs a receiver. We'll see about that 25ft then! The really cool part of the deal is, I get the plane with a BL motor in it... and there's another kit in there with it. That will make 5 in my hangar. I think I have a problem. Better call Mothaholics Anonymous!
A long time ago I built an 8' free-standing PVC plane rack that holds a total of 10 planes all built and ready to go "off the rack" - 5 on each side. Unfortunately, and I am embarrased to say, the plane rack fell over one night due to two of the four feet, critical to its design, had not been glued, and the fall did some nasty damage to several planes, my original TM getting the worst damage since it had been on the top of the rack. My brushless version was also damaged, but has since been repaired. It took me a while to work on any of them because I was so pi**ed off at myself. Live and learn, or in other words, onwards and upwards (above 25'!) ...

You acted quick on that sale, Buzz! I went to look at the ad and you had already sent your PM. Just something about these TM's - can't have enough! Let us know when you get her airborne.

However, he's probably 25' high, so we'll have to wait for him to come down to find out for sure.

Crashed my Moth a while back in too much wind, finally got around to fixing it. Decided to do some paint work, change the wheels, and add some scaleness to the landing gear.

Go easy on the film crew, he's a rookie!

Gypsy flies again! Looks and flies great. Do I hear a gearbox whine?

Sorry... yes, that's the one. Does anyone see a price? Whew... yeah, man... being up 25ft max keeps your reflexes sharp! Ha... yep.. I saw that deal and jumped on it. Should be here Monday. I guess I'm going to have to start flying some of them again. I think I feel a float plane coming.
I'll have to look up Pat's floats plans...

Thanks guys, yep Buzz, I love the gearbox!

I sat there staring at the plane, trying to decide if I should go all the way and swing the wings forward for a complete Gypsy Moth look, but I just couldn't get myself to do it. It would mean getting rid of what makes these planes fly so well on 3 channel - swept back wings.
I do have an extra set of thin wings, I think I will try to make some gypsy moth wings from those. Just not sure if it will turn.

My original, the 25ft moth, still has it's little IPS motor and gear box. I have to agree... without the swept back wings we wouldn't have such a great flying little plane. I also have one with straight solid foam wings. I haven't had a chance to fly it much because it goes so fast, I can't keep the elevator on it. I've been flying my Gaui quad rotor so much, I need to fly something that's not quite as nerve wracking.

Beautiful job, 7car7! I like that color scheme on the fuelage - reminds me of the Fly Baby. Great to see it fly so well, and hear the sound of that little "A" gearbox singing its heart out! Your "film crew" did a yeoman's job!

HAPPY TURKEY DAY EVERYONE!!!

That Gypsy Moth looks sweeeeet 7car7! That cowl makes me drool!

Sorry I'd fallen off the planet gang, Buzz poked me to come see y'all so here I am!

I even flew Lil Fishy on the weekend in the goal of grabbing a pic of it, but it was too gusty, too cold, I'm still too sick and my phone has this stupid lag thing between when you click the button and when the picture happens, so I just flew out the pack while thinking of you all instead

I hope everyone is doing well!

Cheers,

Kitty
