A-10 Kyosho Motor Conversion Battery Recommendation.
I am building the K&A A-10 that sparked all the stink about KP44's.
I went with the Kyosho motors and seperate Fans. They are supposed to be wired in Parallel...
What batteries should I try?
CP1300's? or 800AR's
Thanks for your help

Definitely go with the new CP1300s. Diversity Model Aircraft has them, there's a new ad in the Sept S&E Modeler magazine. www.flydma.com
Weight quoted is 35 grams, dimensions 23 x 27mm. They are short and squat, so the'd be much easier to fit into the fuselage than the tall and skinny 800ARs, which weigh 36 grams each.
Of course, 600AEs weigh 22 grams a piece, so you'd have a lighter all up weight. I don't know if anyone has flown the micro A-10 with larger cells, may have to do some searching on that. There's also 1000mah NiMH batteries that are the same size and just a bit heavier than 600AEs. DMA carries them as does www.batteriesamerica.com. You'd need to add an extra cell to make up for the lower voltage but you'd still have a lighter pack than the 1300s.

My Dare A-10 with Johnson 180 motors in parallel does well on 10X600AE and that is what I plan to use on my next pair of KP-44 fans and the Kyo DMC motors. I do not beleive the 10X800ARs will fit very well in the K&A A-10, and the wing loading will go up noticably.
Keep it light!
