This deserves honorable mention. Pipe Dream

The late Bill Winters colaborated with Bill Evans for the original Slow Motion. It's Simitar heritage is quite obvious.
Plans are available from Model Aviation via the AMA

Some Simitar Cores

Dymanic Balsa { http://www.dbalsa.com/ } has some Simitar cores listed -

From a Note at the start of the cores section they say that the prices are now $5 more than as listed due to the cost of foam going up.

So far I've seen -
Pole Star for $29.99
Desperado 3000 for $44.95
Simitar 40 for $22.99
Tracer 40 $24.99
Tracer 60 $27.99
Zippity Do Da $29.99

Simitar

Hi Claud, once again great job promoting the Simitar series and Bill Evans.

There are not too many new designs around in this series but all of the original and current designs are here to stay and will provide a lot of great flying for any who venture in !

These planes are easy to build and easy to fly, lets hope we see more in the air on the slopes and at the fields.

Electric Saracen Pictures

I bought a vintage Saracen kit off of Ebay and built it as a pusher electric using the leftovers of my dearly departed Zagi. (you can only wrap them around trees so many times)

Conversion was fairly simple, I just drilled three holes in the center section's training edge, two for motor mounting dowels and one for the power wiring.

Even with the "heavy" Ni-Cd battery, I had to add 3 oz of lead to balance it.

I built it as an electric because there aren't that many thermals here in Indiana.

I hoped to test fly it today at our club's January 1st Freeze Fly, but the weather didn't cooperate, it has rained all day today.

I wanted to cover it in a hawk or eagle colored pattern, but could not locate brown iron on covering, so I just used the scraps that I had leftover.

Anyway, Happy New year to all, a day late to those on the other side!

Tight turns to All!

Claude
