Hi Claude,

Thanks for posting all those pictures!! You have mine in there (Post 179, left column, 4th from bottom). As you can imagine from the photo, this is a rather aged unit. It has a built up wing, and I'm the 3rd owner. It has an Irvine 25 for power. It;s been flying well, but it's getting tired. I'm not sure if I will rebuild/recover her or go for a new one?

Please refresh my memory. Are there any kits out there? I know that I can buy foam wings and plans, but was wondering if anyone had any kits or semi-kits available?

If you had your pick of any of the Simitar's strictly for sport flying with, say, a TT Pro .46, which one would you choose for yourself?

Thanks,

Bob

I'd build either a Simitar Advantage or Zippity-Do-Da, and maybe cut the wingspan down to 56 or 60 inches.

Bill doesn't make kits anymore, not enough call for it anymore.

I've been cutting my own cores lately with the drop arm type foam cutter.

Let me know if you need anything else!

Tight turns,

Claude

As far as I know, I am in possesion of one of the few copies that were made.

I will be making copies for myself and some others, then return the original copy to Gordy.

I will have the drawings for all of the one of a kind Simitars, that Gordy entrusted me, digitized and will post them as soon as time permits.

I have a few small projects here at home to wrap up, I just came back from vacation and need a few days rest.

I'll post them here and on the Yahoo group.

Pole Star X aka Pole Star EPO (Expert Pilots Only)

Here we Go! (Unless Bill Evans calls me and tells me to knock it off.)

Here are the plans in pdf format for the Pole Star X.

If anyone can convert these files to cad, or several other versions of cad, please email them to me and I'll post them here.

Like the name says, it is for expert pilot only!

These roll as fast or faster than my Simitar Penultimate.

They also fly just as fast as they look.

Tight Turns,

Claude

Simitar Sport 40?

This is the plan for a Simitar Sport.

It looks like an enlarged Simitar Duece?

Sorry no pictures.

If anyone can convert these files to cad, or several other versions of cad, please email them to me and I'll post them here.

Yahoo Group Simitar Two ONLINE TODAY!

I have created an addition to this Yahoo Simitar group today.

I have begun posting the pdf files of the scans of several one of a
kind Simitars, a couple hand drawn by Bill Evans.

I don't want to split this group or compete with it, we only have
limited space here.

Please join this group ASAP!

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Simitar_two/

You must have my approval to join, as long as you're a member here or the original Simitar Group, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Simitar/ ,
its OK with me.

I will check my emails as often as I can and will appove everyone in
due time.

Tight Turns!
