Hawk My first ducted fan

Well this is my attempt at a ducted fan and here is what I came up with.
The plane is the HAWK that I got from Morris at ducted fans. I have a wemo-tec 90mm fan and a mega motor (need to find out what motor ) I have a Jeti 77 controller and using a 8S 1760 Tanic battery pack. I wanted to conceal all the horns and control rods, as you can see I did. I have what seems to be plenty of power going into this thing. Here are some pics for your viewing pleasures.

DANGER Will Roberts If that is a 22-30-3 on a day warmer than 70F the magnet will not be a magnet after a 5 minute flight once you shut down and the temperature spikes upward.

ya I watched your vid today pretty cool stuff my biggest concern is blowing of the elevators, in hindsite I wished I made the carbon fiber tube that attaches the two side longer and larger, it appears to be a bit "wobbly" other than that it is a screamer
and might stay together!!

The model looks like it's been crashed already a few times . Good luck on getting more than one flight out of that mega setup - if the foam does not disintegrate before that.

Chris, I am not sure why you said that. A Mega 22/30/3 is fine on 8s for the Midi Fan. Thats what I fly in my EJF F-86

The watt meter said 1,700+ watts. I melted 2 of them at 1,650 in a Schubi a few years ago with the motor tube cut off for better cooling.

I went through the thread again. He was running a 22/20/3, which gave him the high power.

Nothing wrong with the 22/30/3 on 8s as I can see, but yeah, a 22/30/3 would be a problem if you got it to 1,700 Watts on say a 9s or something.

Just trying to understand what has been said to stay out of trouble on my end, I hate to melt motors or controlers
