Flying Sidewinder missile

After seeing Jurgen Heilig's video of Stephan Strobel flying the rocketman/sidewinder at Sinsheim 2006 just had to give it a try. The video-

Very nice flying. Mines 42 inch length, depron, axi motor, 8 x 3.4 prop. Doing just a profile first to work it all out. Can add a rolled depron 1mm fuse later. Getting all the radio in. Should be fun!!!! STRINGFLY <>+++++

What cool idea. I like it! Looks hard to fly though. How do you not lose your orientation while flying with distinctive markings or wing ti view?

Also... if you post the plans I'd love to give it a try.

String where exactly is the CofG on that thing - especially when it was hovering in the vid????

That info would be a great help in my Shuttle/ET/SRB project...

I LOVE IT. But get ready for homeland security to be knocking at your door. I was questioned by local detectives about my SS with camera. They wanted to know what I was up to, why I was flying in the field I was, and what I do with the vids. All in all, they were cool (they declined my offer to let them fly). However, a missle flying around is gonna raise some eyebrows.

String,

really cool missile, I need to correct one little thing, the call sign for the Sidewinder is "FOX-TWO", the AIM-7 Sparrow is "FOX-ONE". You need to make a second one, mount both to your car, get a new plate "ROAD KILL", no more need for road rage, everybody's gonna get out of your way.
