I would have to agree with you. Jon Deere Green is even the subject of country music. My grandfathers had Allis Chalmers tractors that were red, but I think even Ford blue has more brand recognition than the red ones.

I always liked the vintage look of the two tone red/orange and yellowish white of the tracors made by this old company ...

I love the look of the vintage tractors too.

Mine is going to be a 'stand way off sorta like scale' version of a modern utility tractor with an enclosed cab.

I have decided on JD green with yellow trim.

I'm thinking of making a hitch for it so that it can tow a boat trailer.

Two blocks from my house today. I wondered what all the sirens and heli's flying overhead were about.

Those people were lucky I think. Maybe the chain link fence sort of arrested the forward motion of the plane and that would have helped stop it. At least it wasn't in your back yard Tom. Pete

My new tractor wheels and tires arrived today.

I'm waiting for the weather to get better so that I can start fiberglassing the cab.

So I have been fiberglassing the tractor body in sections. I only have the right side left to do. I have been using 2 oz. cloth and Z-Poxy. It's going better than I expected. I am not too experienced with fiberglassing yet.

And who would have thought there was a 'farming simulator'? I came across it while doing research. The demo is pretty cool.
