Hey guys, I don't post on here much, (ok ever) but a lot of you guys are friends and customers so I wanted to give you an update. We have relocated our store to a new larger location. One of the perks is all of our boat inventory is now out and available to browse. We will be having a "Grand Opening" Saturday October 13th and will have some awesome deals on boats, hulls and hardware.

Race Prep Hobbies & FunRCBoats.com
867 E. Los Angeles Ave.

I know this is pretty much a commercial post, but I'm hoping you guys will give me a little slack here, I always do my best to take care of you guys when you come in.

Richard

Thanks Pat.

The new boat launcher is now finished. Painted with Rustoleum "Almond" paint (what I had left over from the pool equipment pipes, lol..) and teal blue foam noodles cut into pads (what was in stock at Leslie's Pool Supply besides neon lime and orange...)

It lifts my Reef Racer easily.

My 48" deep vee doesn't quite fit, unless I remove the side pads.

Those are Swan's, you cretin!

And yes, that is exactly what they are for. To keep the dang wild ducks from landing in the pool and pooping all over the pool and backyard.

Shot gun might be more fun? (Just teasing- yes, I understand you live in an urban area!)

At the INS Regatta I saw an RC Canadian Goose. It was in it's straw bed, at the time. But he did demonstrate how it swiveled its head, and could shoot water out of its beak.

I went to Lake Balboa today because Irregular Cap'n 'Barnacle Bob' was going to be there running his torpedo boat that he pulled out of the mothball fleet and refurbished. He also had another of his very old builds out today. It is a Midwest tugboat kit, that he modified into a motor sailer fishing boat.

Bob is mentoring a fella, helping him learn about boat building. His name is Devin and he was there with a lobster boat that Bob drew the plans for and Devin built it.

Also there was Gerry, the Mad Russian and his big Envoy tugboat. At one point some guy in a Seyvelor wandered into the boating area and Gerry chased him out with the tug.

Good thing too because a couple of FE's were there and I could tell they were being driven by rookies so that guy was actually in danger

And another guy who Bob said goes by the name of "CJ' was there and he had a Lindberg PT-109.

.Devin has an Alligator Air Tours mini airboat. All box stock, and the performance is pathetic. Good enough for a pre-schooler. Maybe...

Anyway, here are some photos and a super short video.

My Video (2 min 1 sec)

I decided not to go to go to Balboa today . I met a friend at Inland Nautical. There was a nice car show at the lake in the park at Riverside . Good to see that Devin is progressing on his lobster boat. Was a real nice day all over the southland I think.
