It was a warm Summer day at the pond. Shade was mandatory and much appreciated as the sun was high and hot.
Capn's Brad, Bob, Larry, Rich, Marvin, and myself were in attendance.
Bob forgot his Tx so his boats were display items only.
Brad was having trouble keeping the drivelines together on his speedboats but eventually got it sorted on the big one and drove it.
Rich installed a brushless motor in his Proboat Classic and proceeded to grenade the universal joint.
I got carried away with my airboat and flipped it over. Way out in the deep water. It eventually went nose up but thankfully I had enough flotation in it to prevent it from sinking. It mostly drifted back to shore. After discussing it with a lifeguard he grudgingly went out to retrieve it. Since the old boss, Gil, has retired the lifeguards are even more useless now than they used to be. This guy just didn't want to get off his duff and I had to get him to call his new boss on the 2-way and sort out what the he!! the lifeguards are there for.
Marvin had his grandsons there and was teaching them to drive his boats.
Larry was racing around in his new Rio EP-1.
There was a couple of kids there catching baby fish to take home to their parents pond. They had trout, bass, and a crawfish.
The water in the lake is down very low, it smells bad too. And there was a dead 12" long trout floating at the edge of the ramp when I got there this morning.
