I got my cellpro, now i'm waiting for the kokam-tp adaptor... :-|
Question, I have 2cell packs that has no balance connector, I guess there's no way for me to use this charger to charge it, is it?
Unless I solder the balance connector, of course.
???

I just opened the end of the pack and solder a lead to the interconnection between the cells and brough it out a couple of inches. Use a cellpro connector along with the connector that mates with the pack and add a lead with an aligator clip to pick up the tap wire. On your two cell pack the tap wire goes to the pin next to the black (negative) wire on your Cellpro plug.

With all the new multi chaneel LiPoly chargers showing up I felt this one peserved a bump.
Red has reviewed this one and has had a newer release by a different manufacture for awhile now. I wonder how he would compare them?

Help me out here. I have several new LiPo balancing chargers now on the bench. So far none equal the CellPro in my opinion. Which "newer release" are you refering to?

Red,

I wanted to thank you for posting this review thread. Your reviews are very straightforward, unbiased and knowlegeable. I've had my CellPro for about a week and I love it.

BTW: The first charger I bought was the FMA Einstein XL based on the review on your website. I've had it for 7 years and I still use it on a regular basis.

Thanks again!

But, FMA’s point of sale says:

Come on RD, I love the work you do for all us and thoroughly appreciate your dedication to this hobby of ours but please, give it a break!

xxxxxxxx (previous word withdrawn out if respect for RD) are just so ugly!

Luis, did you not read the rest of my post? Don't you see the contradiction between what FMA writes to sell its product and what's written as an accurate appraisal of the inherent danger in charging LiPos? Do you know af any other vendor who implies at the point of sale that his product is so safe that the charging process can be walked away from?

Quite a lot of the work you mention has tried to develop a fuller understanding of the nature of LiPos. In my opinion, it would be a betrayal of that effort to let an unsafe assertion pass without notice, merely because the assertor has been noticed before.

"Witchhunt" is not justified. I'd appreciate it if you would withdraw it.

Regards,

I'm with RD here. I suspect that there are a lot of us that simply log into his info and that's the end of it. I respect his opiniojn a lot more than I'd trust a sales blurb..............

yes i do agree its a wonderfull charger

i have had one for over a month now and have only had to cut a square of plastic off the back of my BRAND NEW SHINY power unit and solder wires onto the board and make solder pins........this means i can now use it with my existing packs which dont have fma adaptors on them....never mind about the warranty being buggered now with my mod never mind the fact that i ordered 3 adaptor plugs with the charger, never mind the fact that i ordered over $US800 with this company now i have finished ranting YES its a awsome charger but FMA you need to get your supply problems sorted out......i still havent got my leads as have many many of your other customers....
