Hyperion Yak 55-inspired Formosa
I just replaced the Formosa I wrecked in the fall. I came close to ordering a Yak 55 but went the cheap route instead. Looks good don't ya think? If I wasn't so lazy it would be flying already.

I finally finished the Formosa. At the end I decided to salvage some LG and a tail skid from another model that has been mothballed. They are removable. If the wind ever lets up I can maiden it.

My home PC and internet connection has been messed up so I don't know how accessible I am this weekend. Weather looks bad as well.
I sold the KM to help fund the Biplane. The LG are from my old TuffE. Power is from an E Flite 400 in a cobri GB. GWS 10x6 HD to start. Not sure of the ratio. I also have a new foamy on the way to replace the Panic. It's done. And Jon has a new bird to maiden as well. Brio 10 |

Interesting maiden this morning. It took a load of trim to get it flying level. I had elevator expo set to 0 by mistake. To call it pitchy would be an understatement. Power was weak so I swapped the 10x6 for an 11x7. Rudder throw and authority were ridiculous so I decrease rudder rate. In KE coupling was out of control. Second landing in the grass tore the LG out. All in all it was quite entertaining.
