Well, well, well.......

I forgot all about this thread. Here I am a few months later and I am glad to say that I had a great summer flying my THunder Roc clone. I swapped out the guts and what a difference that made. It was responsive and the range was fantastic. I only fly with zero wind as I hate how it turns when there is wind, freaks the ba-jee-sus out of me. I also have metal internal gears waiting in a little bag for when the stocks strip.

I just won a NIB HX bird off of ebay so I'm back searching for info in it.

It's not the turns that get me, it's the flying crab angle into the wind. I only fly in max 7 MPH steady winds with no gusting. It's kind of cool to see it fly at a 45 degree angle in a cross wind - but a bit unnerving.

Just received my brand new HX2 bird that I won off of ebay, (no, there are no more, sorry), and I can't believe that the internal gears are metal!! Unbelievable!! I had no idea!!
