Anyone want to share lodging or have room for Tri-Slope Six Pack?

I am able to swing going to 3S6P this year after all.

I'll be getting there Thursday and Leaving Sunday, and am looking to share a room for at least a couple of the nights to offset costs. Anyone else going? Where are you staying?

Just thought I'd give this a bump. I plan on getting a room shortly. Will be bringing a 100" Thorn.

Oh, I read it. But am not going to that event, so I'd be of little help in your request.

But now I know to await pictures and hopefully video of the 100" Thorn.

I on the fence whither I will be attending. Don't have alot of stuff to fly on a no foam contest and it's a pretty long trip from CO.

If I do go, I will want to camp to the costs down. Too many contests in May.
I've commited to the Kansas event, and am pretty sure I want to make the PSS fest as well that month. Three weekends in a row is a bit much though. I may be convinced to go if someone from CO wants to come and share the driving and some of the gas costs.

Most of all, I guess it will depend on how much stuff I can sell at canuckengineering.com before then.

Thanks for that hotel, Elmer! It is a lot cheaper than where I was looking at before.

Andrew, $35/night is pretty cheap and a lot more comfortable than camping out. Ie: it's nice to have a mattress and a shower.

The T100 has about the same loading as the 60", but it has higher aspect ratio and is bigger, so it needs less lift. It has a four servo wing and crow works very well on it. I've only flown it once, so I don't want to get everyone too excited about it just yet. Flies great so far, but haven't flown it in big lift yet. I will be getting some feedback at the 3S6P when I pass the controls around.

Is it a one piece wing or two? 100 inches is a bit long for transport. The 60" thorns fly very well. The CO guys are liking them alot, especially their durability.

Andrew, it is a two piece wing and it is strong. Tested it to 55Gs on my test stand when the mild steel joiners took a bend. I'll have to check it with some hardened joiners at some point, but needless to say should be good enough for moderate+ DS (even with mild steel).

Glad the CO guys are having fun with their Thorns! I'm very happy they are still doing well with them.
