Don't worry Apple it could have been worse!...
C The two ugly ones (Evander and Frankenstein) are to set off the charm of the "Force Four" - just about qualifying as Vintage now I guess.

I've never thought of 'Frankenstein' as an attractive airplane but it does have an angular charm of its own!

Was the second power model l ever built, first was a Little Vagabond, both powered by a Penny slot E.D Mk2, and l loved 'em both. Built another Franke. in '81 with a E.D Comp.Special, and the 'beautifull' thing still flys like a bird. Yellow heavy Modelspan, and even a D/T timer. Have another Lil. Vag. as well, with an lndian Mills 1.3. Both 'plane and motor are spot on. Can't help but love the 'ugly' ones. ls it the charm, or do l just feel sorry for 'em?

When you're young and easily impressed any model that you invested your dreams, blood and sweat into looks beautiful when it's flying well. The ones that don't fly well are best forgetten and placed under a heavy boot....

A few of my favorites I didn't notice, 37 Cleveland Models Viking, have had 2 of these and they also fly great. My next OT project 41 Spook. I am also fond of the Earl Stahl Fokker D VIII, I have a set of plans for that, lol should I build it oneday.
