There is a lowe's in CO that stocks blucor, in Louisville/Superior. Sometimes they will ship the stuff from one store to the next. Use Item Number 15346, that is the ticket for the 1/4" blucor foam. They had a bunch a couple of month's ago....

Are there any more pics or videos of these wings in action? My son is chomping at the bit to have me build him one

well gave it a toss out back last night with everything in it (batt not hooked up) sure did a straight glide... crashed right into the side of the shed (bout 40-50') guess i had cg pretty close. guess i thought it would drop quick... hehe no damage other than couple wrinkles.

yeah, they fly fine with a few wrinkles. my last one, for the first 4-5 inches looked like the nose on the wicked witch of the west, before it was finally retired. Had a couple of full throttle nose-in's.

Finished my Bluecor and took it to the park for a test glide. There was a brisk wind and my toss was a little nose down so it only went about 20 feet before landing in the grass. Second toss was nose up and it really headed out. What the heck, hit the throttle and she was flying. Made two circuits before the 280 motor burned up on the 3S. The glide after the motor went was as good as some of my gliders! Just mounted a Graupner 6V Race 280 (my last brushed) and will try it with an 8 cell KAN 650 pack.

I really need a brushless that will run off of my many small 3S packs and either a 5" or 6" prop. My knowledge of anything smaller than a speed 400 is almost zero. Is there anything small and light that meets the above requirements? Some of the small outrunners I looked at need a large 8" or 9" prop when using 3S. I don't think I want to 'wind' my own. Thanks in advance.

There aren't too many options that I know of without winding your own...
I did get a westport motor from www.m-a-e.com, they make ok motors, not as good as lensrc, but I bought one and it ran. They are not bearing motors though, just bushings. about $30, but you could pick up a 15 turn there.

besides that you'd have to try a small high kv outrunner.

anyother ideas or successes out there fellas?

Go dual j-250 brushed , or take a cheap inrunner (300 size helo motor) and run it witha 3X3 prop! about 15A max turnning crazy fast rpm and blasting it along at over 60mph. Also I have yet to build my wing but on my alley cat 24" wing with 2 booms and a elevator I am running a brushed 300 with a 3X3 and it scoots while keeping the amps under 10A, hot at the end of a 800mah but has over 30 packs in it now.

if its not bad out tomorrow im going to try my 15t cdrom with 2s and 4x4 prop.. 3x3 wouldnt even keep it up. i think its a 4x4.. has alot more feel to it compared to the 3x3. who knows but for a 10$ motor you wind yourself no big deal. looking to get 3s batt to try next

Check out the "hot wind" motors. I have the cool wind and they are great on my foamies and the hot wind should be just what you need. What is your AUW? That will pretty much dictate what motor you need and if your using lipo or nimh. I know you don't want to wind your own motors but I just finished another 11 turn 24 gauge 20mm motor I'm going to try with some 2s lipos. Might be too hot for 3s.

Yes if you ran a 2 cell it would need to go up 2 prop size to match.
