Yes I got it at Lowes. Sorry I took so long getting back to you. If you catcvh it when they first pu ti out it is in good shape if it's been sticking out in the aisle it gets messed up quick. I'm finishing up a 60" version of this wing now. Will probably wait until the snow & ice is gone to maiden it. I did fly my kfm wing again this morning and fixing to go run another bettery pack through it. temp is 27 deg here in Tulsa today, but winds are calm. Try to post the video of the kfm L8R today.

Yes I built Gene's slo wing but as I said in an earlier post I never got it to cog out correctly. I don't think it was anything to do with Gene's design thourh because I have built two of his and GPW's b2 not quite scale stealths and they flew fine.
I did get a chance to shoot some video today of my kfm zag so wilol post it when I get it edited a little more, Have to excuse the cameraman had to have my 12 year old grandson shoot it for me.

Wow

As I just posted over on the kfm wing thread I maidened the 60" wing inthe pics above in about 10mph winds today and it is quick and agile. First plane I haven't crashed at least once on a maiden. Hit the throttle tossed it up into the wind and away it went, loops great turns on a dime. Thanks again for your build threads and all your help guys. I am deffinitely a WingNut

I'm still getting lots of fun out of building smaller versions of this basic design using EPP and carbon fibre.

I've built a new one. It's 9oz all up weight and 26" wing span with a 2 cell 1200mah battery accounting for a fair proportion of that and a EMAX CF2805 2840KV. Seems to climb vertically on a 5inch prop and it's supposed to take a 6 so i'm happy with the performance so far.

What size lipo will you be using? I built one of these 16" wings with a 12mm inrunner and 500mAh lipo and it flew ok, but adding the Wicked Jr with a 30a esc and 1000 to 1200mAh 3s lipo should turn it into a brick. I used the Wicked Jr on a 22" wing and I had to fly it pretty fast at all times just to keep it airborne. I hope you have success, but I don't see your wing having enough wing area to stay in the air very long with the weight of that motor and a lipo and esc big enough to support it.

Actually I am copying this setup from a buddy and have seen his wing fly. It pulls 10 amps running a TP 730 3s. Flight times are a little short.About 2 1/2 to 3 minutes, but that thing absolutely rips! Useing CC 25 amp esc. cam 4+3 prop. Weight without batt hopefully will be about 5 oz,s

This is my 16 inch wing with a Dons Wicked 3200KV motor, that has the same power system that Topher is using. My wing weighs 4.2 without battery 6oz with a 720 3s. The wing actually fly's pretty good even with the high wing loading. Also here is a pic of my newest project...a fully molded 32 inch wing (almost done).
