Thanks Ray, for what it costs I can understand why. Why a 25a esc?

Hey More Trim, the wing plan is on page 1 of this thread and I just free hand cut the fuselage shape, including the airfoil shape it rests on.

Yeah I've seen Jeff's page and have gone with his information before but its still nice to know what others really like.

thanks again guys

Here is some great prop data for the bp21.
I am going to pickup some prop for it...i tested a 6x5.5 grupner speed and not much power so i think i should stick with 8040 just have to cut the prop clearance a little more on the wing.....my plane is 1lb to the penny.thanks a bunch for the chart

Tossed all the components on and got an all up flying weight of 10.74oz. Thats not including control horns and linkage tho. Should be right around 11oz final flying weight.

Edit- final flying weight = 11.46oz

My kids thought it needed more character, and they were bored yesterday morning.

Hoping today provides a brief window in which to get this in the air

Where do u guys get bluecore? I want to build a real lightweight flying wing for slope soaring. Hs-55s, berg 4ch rx, and a tiny 270mah flight battery. Does this sound good?

You can still get it at Lowes hardware. They have a lot of fan fold there, witch would be great for these kind of things.

This thing is just too much fun... Up til yesterday, every flight I've had with a 2408 has been on 2s, yesterday I finally got to try 3s wow what fun. This is fast for me, really rips along at WOT and got out of my comfort zone quick!! I couldn't resist point'n it straight up a few times WOT, just to cut throttle and float down, or loop and pull a WOT dive. Not even a hint of flutter from the wing.

So now, Im building a fleet of them, lol... this one is MINE and I'll have 2 more made for my boys before long, then another 1-2 of them as back ups, lol...

Would this material be good for a real lightweight slope flier?

Well it depends on what you want to build, but this foam is really lite. But making a wing this is the perfect foam for this project.

Finished up my bluecor wing today and maidened her. Had a friend shoot some viceo but he couldn't catch the plane in the view finder long enough to see any of the flight.
She's powered by a gws eps300c hitech laser4 radio with gws ics480 esc two futaba servos and a nimh out of a supercub. Going to try and attach a photo.
Will try and get good video tomorrow.

Just a couple strips of colored tape, also put a piece of yellow correx on the bottom for protection and fo color reference when inverted. She does loops great, and I could roll her a little but didn't actually have my control throws where I wanted them.
I hope we lose some of the wind that has come in tonight so I can take her out tomorrow, got four battery packs charged and ready to go.
