Logo 10, sucuring landing skids

What's a good way to secure the aluminum skids inside the landing gear bracket. CA? Mine turn fairly freely and I'm sure they won't hold position. Anyone trimming down the length of the skids?

Thanks

Rick

I used rubber skid stops. A friend gave me some that would not fit his Voyager since it has smaller skids than the Logo. They work decently enough but they still require a little correction from time to time. Well one does and the other skid fits pretty tight on its own. I am sure there are better ways and I think some have used CA.

I'm one of those . Yeah, I guess I got spoiled by my Piccolo ..

My skids were too loose... period. A drop of CA at each joint was all that was necessary. Problem solved!

I don't know if this is the best method, but it works really well.

Good luck!

I'm thinking about shortening my aluminum skids by 2 inches, the skids seems pretty long. Anyone else doing this?

I left mine at the stock length.

Drill through the bracket into the skid and use a small screw. One is enough for each skid.

Rick, just checking..... The LOGO 10 skids are about 10-1/2 inches long and the LOGO 20 ones are about 12-1/2 inches. Perhaps you got the wrong ones? The stock lengths work well and help keep the heli from tilting back during transport.

I think that the stock Logo 10 skids are perfect in length.

Unless of course, as Glen mentioned, you got the wrong ones. In that case, then yes.. they're too long.

Let us know.

Mine are 10 1/2 long, I wont' make a cut until after final assembly to see how the stance is. My Vigor CS skids are only 12 inches long, just looking at the two heli it looks like the Logo 10 skids are over done a bit. Maybe it's needed for transport without a battery pack installed in the nose.

Yes. Without the main pack, it will easily tilt back on its fragile vertical fin.

I wouldn't cut them, they look good as they are and you never know when you'll need the extra LG stance. Big helis, need big "feet" . It's up to you though.

Good luck rick!
