Would like info on the club please

I would really like some information on the club, how to join, etc...

I have been flying r/c planes on and off for about 20 years. I currently fly small electric (mainly foamies), slope gliders, and electric helicopters (poorly). I would like to get into HLG and maybe discus launch.

I can be reached at jbacon@peoplecube.com or jbacon1@adelphia.net

Thanks!

j (or should I say Jay?),

The best way to get introduced to the club is by attending the club meeting next week. We meet on Tuesday at 7:30 PM at the Litchfield Middle School cafeteria (on your immediate right when entering the school's right hand entrance). Here is a link to a map of the school location.

You mentioned that you do (or have done) slope soaring. That's on my list for this year, where do you fly slope?

The "j" is for John.

I'll see if I can make the meeting. Do people usually bring stuff to fly indoors?

As for slope, the only place around here I have ever flown slope was over at the old ski area on Rte 101 on the way to Peterborough (Temple Mountain??) My slope Zagi hasn't gotten much use lately.

John,

Yes, people often bring indoor planes to fly. The basketball court is often in use until 9PM this time of year, but we occasionally make room in the cafeteria (about half court size but with a 12 foot ceiling).

What's the desired wind direction for Temple mountain? That's definately in reach for me.

Good meeting you at the meeting tonight!

Temple slopes face north. Here is a map...

I flew from about 1/2 way up the hill directly in front of the lodge last time
I was there. Other than avoiding lift poles and wires it wasn't all that bad.

Wind is pretty variable there. I'd love to find a good slope spot somewhere in southern NH.
