Cessna 188 Ag Truck

This is my foam rendition of the Cessna 188 Ag Tractor. I was looking for a plane to carry my video camera and transmitter and I thought the Ag Tractor would fill the bill. The fuse is made from 1.5" pink foam insulation and the wing is my first airfoil constructed from blue core. AUW is 24 oz. without the camera equipment. Komodo KH-278 with 1.5 stator 13T 22G CDR, 2 GWS Pico servos, 3S 2100Mah lipo, GWS 6 channel rcvr.
I will paint the wings after maiden next week.
I'll give the flight report after I get her in the air and back.

I thought it looked good in pink and blue... but I kept scrollong, and WOW!

Great looking job. Where's the camera going?

Gene,
I'm going to mount it in the belly. I can carve out a small section in the center of the wing and the camera lens will be pointing slightly downward. It may look something like the dusting spreader on the belly of some that I have seen.
Thanks for the comments. C-YA RL

This is the paint scheme I am going for as I like the brighter colors. Easier for the old eyes to see
I am not real happy with the look of my cowl used on the unpainted airframe, and I will try to heat shrink one that better fits the lines of the 188 instead of the vitamin bottle I have carved out in the previous post.

Nice job. I built a similar one a while back with a folded FFF wing. It flew great until I covered it with packing tape and made it too heavy for my then marginal power system. I also threw the CG way off. I still have the templates though. This is another one that I would like to build again now that I know better what I'm doing.

Good luck on the maiden. Remember, we love video.

Cary: Was that based on this one? I had one of these, but it got pushed to the side. The fire last fall took care of when I'd finish it.....

Yes Brad, the plane in my pictures was the one I built in the thread you linked. Colbyweb started the thread to demonstrate his technique for laminating fuses. I custom designed an airfoil wing and the fuse. I started with the Schwartz balsa plans I got online.

Thanks guys for the informative thread. I never saw it before, but I will be sure to check out every post for any additional information I might be able to gain from it. I just made mine from some JPEG photos I was able to find through a search on the web. I then drew it up on Auto-Cad and built it accordingly.
Gary--What power plant were you using? Nice looking plane. I see you got the wings right too.
Thanks again C-YA RL
