Eagle project (twin 90mm)
I have been kicking around several projects for the season but I have settled on this one....for now
.The model will be 65.5 inches long with a span of about 43.75 inches. This is the same scale as my F/A-18E and F2H Banshee model (1/11.67" scale). The planned power system will be twin DS51 with the Mega 22/30/3 and two 8S1P packs. The model will have rotating retracts for the same reason the full scale has them. Since I actually started working on it I figured I'd share some pictures. The nose section is foam that will be sheeted and then most foam removed and glassed with the rest of the model. The rest of the model will be balsa.

Ed,
They didn't "stand up" until Jan 06'. The pictures of the first aircraft started hitting certain forums around later Dec and they were posted be the enlisted people. http://www.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123013928 |
