Man what a great day to fly .. little windy but couldnt beat the temperature..
We had alot of pilots out today .. and alot of planes .. Im posting a few pics actually many pics .. Come on out and see us ..

Good day for flying .. had 8 pilots out today Had a few mishaps Sorry Tom sorry Dalton ..did get to see a spectacular Heli crash .. once again sorry tom but it was an awesome thing to watch ..
I wont be out to fly for about 3 weeks .. Im heading to Michigan then the Toledo Show .. then home for 2 weeks and then SEFF .. i will be back the middle of april .. Take care and watch for toledo updates .. if i see anything cool i will let you guys know ..

R.I.P.......it was short and sweet but what a ride!
We are gathered today to mourn the loss of a venerable aircraft. A True American Classic.... a work horse.....in the right hands an aeronautical nightmare of an Assasin....that's right I'm talking about HZ's P-51 Mustang RTF.....sniffle....It was her maiden flight! Classified Government tests have sadly concluded that, because the imaginary left wing tank was "topped off" previous to takeoff...the right wing tank was never refueled which caused a strong left bank at liftoff....he never had time to gain altitude and hit the ground at 300MPH....
Crews were dispatched but it was readily apparent that it was mostly a crushed airframe, the pilot's upper torso was all that was recovered.
Airframe Restoration Expert- Vyceroy- expressed interest in examining the remains at his AeroLab...his results will be forth coming in the weeks ahead.
The Tele Sr. is fine! Apparently I over corrected the new elevator settings and she was a real handfull....too much UP! What a floater though....I needed almost every yard of the field to bring her down...she just kept floating and floating and floating....I'd been off the throttle since BEFORE I made my final approach....I just cleared the drainage ditch on the far side heading for the weeds when I just nosed her down for a rough landing and broke the hub on the cheap stock right wheel. we'll be back...

I need some input fellas. I spoke with Rodger this weekend and he gave me an OK to create a business card with all of our information so that we may pass it out to spectators who may be interested in joining. If you have any ideas as to what information the card needs to include, post it here. I will print a bunch of these out and they will be distributed among the members.
Here is what I have so far:
On the front:
2)(Google "Charlotte Area Flyers")to find our forum. I thought about listing the link but it has a bunch of dots, slashes, comas, etc. We are at the top of the page of the search.
3)Electric RC link www.rcgroups.com
Perhaps with a logo from this sight.
4)I would like to include some kind of welcome statemant. "Welcome to our club" or something like that
5)List our fields in South Charlotte and North Charlotte.
On the Back:
A list of what is needed to learn to fly. This will be a bit controversial. Here is what I have in mind:
Search for "the Ultimate Slow Stick Help Thread" on www.rcgroups.com. This will help you learn to assemble the airplane.
1)slow stick $35
2)Spektrum radio/servos/Rx $199
3)Pixi 20 esc $34
4)Hitec CG-340 Charger $35
5)Battery (I need a few suggestions here)
All in about $300
What do you all think? Please include comments and suggestions. I want to have this done in the next few eeeks or so.

Yeah, Carl. That Alex has always been a little squeemish! I have seen him eeek out a landing or two, though. Alex - Why would you want to put anything on the back of the card? It runs the cost up significantly if you do.
