Gordy has sent me an email with his flight report, so here it is.

Hi guys,

I got the RC Groups World Tour Dominator Plane, its a fund raiser for a RC pilot who died, and it has been around the world. A foamie wing, in a wooden padded box, with spare servos, mixer if needed, and spare wing rods and tiplets.

It came about three days ago while I was in Cancun, I got home Friday, put the battery on charge and put a RX in it. Today the wind was dead on the Frankfort Kentucky slope so a bunch of us guys headed out for some DS and to fly the WTD.

I did a few hand tosses to get the elevons set, the tossed it off. No problems it flew steady and fast, after about two trim laps across the front side, it was time to head back to the groove. Our backside is FLAT, no double sided hill here but the groove is amazing.

Bruce Davidson was flying his Pike WR, back there and easily hit the fastest run ever on the hill. I managed to catch a similar piece with the WTD and WOW it can move.

Tony Utley, Bruce Davidson, Hank, and AJ also flew it and chipped in their $5 each. Tony stepped up with a $20! I kicked in $100 via Paypal yesterday...so its visit to Louisville was short but sweet.

We each added our names, date, site and emails to the log book and I'll be pasting a photo or two into the log book. I'm also going to make up a template for the start settings on the elevons to make first flights easier to trim.

I notice that it stayed a few planes for a lot of weeks, but guys if you get it, and can't fly it, give it a hand toss and move it along down the road. The more guys that get a flight with it the better for its task.

We had a ball and it was an honor to have had it visit us!
Again if you want to be put on the list for a visit let me know. I have decided the fairest way to chose will be to put the names in a hat and pick the next location. Hurry! :-)

Hi Guys,

Here is some photos and a video clip too of the Dominator flying at our DS site in Frankfort Kentucky.

It has now moved on to :

netstation@charter.net
Peter Baumeler
3091 Kroupa RD.
Traverse City, Mi 49686
cell 321-360-8338

Peter is a top TD competition pilot and lives near a huge slope on Lake Michigan. I made sure he understood that the model is not to sit around, fly it and move it along :-)

For those of you who don't know me, I happen to fly RC sailplanes more often, more places in the world with more guys than anyone else on Earth, so you can imagine I travel with my sailplanes alot. :-)

I happened to be in Kentucky (home) for a few days when the World Plane was sent to me by friend and Slopeflyer.com boss, Greg Smith, Milwaukee Wisconsin.

There are plenty of other guys (trustworthy) to fly it and donate, so unless you are in a rush to get it back, or have it promised somewhere else, let Peter know.
Jo Grini of Norway would be happy to get it flown on slopes and top F3F pilots in Ireland too.

In any case, contact Peter with instructions. I have put a note in the back of the log book with the specific PayPal site info on how to donate and Zipper's Email address for guys to contact him. Also made up a template for the elevon starting settings.

Gordy,

Is your buddy Pete that has the WST Dom a member of the RCGroups? If not, he should register, as his input here (and photos/video) would be required.

Thanks,

John

Thanks Gordy. I sent Peter an email.

Guys (in the US),

Let's really make an effort to get the Dom moving through. It's been here way too long and it's got a ways to go (not even 1/2 way yet).

If you're on the list, make sure to plan it out. If anyone's got troubles with postage, let us know here. I for one would be happy to pitch in to get it moving.

Thanks,

John

It would be good if we could get the Dom to some of the festivals that are there in the stickys, like the PSS festival and the Weasel fest.

Glenn - it's been in country so long, it actually went to Weaselfest last year (#9 - ellwood)

I just feel so bad for you having to wait for your baby's trip round the world & return.

I have emailed Peter to try and get the Dom moving but have had no return communication. This is why the recipients have to be from the list and can commit to the rules.
Can someone who is nearby Peter in Traverse City give him a bit of a hurry up!
If this continues then we will have to move it on to Europe.
