Just how fast will a 2-piece MB go...
...before she becomes many small pieces? ('glass and CF layups). I am curious as to the strength of the joiner system.

i have had a 2 piece carbon at 160 (actually 2 of them exactly the same at 160) and a glass was in the 140's somewhere and it folded...

I folded mine on a strong day in the sub 130's. Metal Spar broke right through the skin. I would not try to go too fast with it....

Can also confirm 2pc glass blade folded at 137mph...

Mind to, same speed at about 130-140 carbon.

I had mine break at about 110. Got a new wing for it though and still have it.
Thinking about 1 piecing it now. Anyone got any good suggestions on how they might go about that? There's got to be hundreds of ways. I can't fly it as it is because it is too dangerous. |

Hey guys,
I was out today doing about 100 mph having a nice time when the leading edge of one of the airelons delaminated - much flutter ensued. I got it down and cyno-ed the skin back on and went back out with no issues. I was wondering if wipers will help prevent this from happening in the future and if so, what is a good way to make them? /Adam /Adam |

yes, wipers will help. The scenario you described happened on a few carbon 2m blade owners that I know but on the v-tail at around 200mph.
