threads get off topic so fast, or hijacked and such.
if the thread has 5 pages already, no one will attempt to read it all... i found a wattage powerfan thing, but its got everything with it for 170 bux... http://www.aeromicro.com/Catalog/wat...sc_1821225.htm i cannot believe how much trouble im having finding one without the motors and such strapped to it. does anyone have a link to a site that carries just the ductted fan, no motor and such? |

a "new threads per week" record ?
Zippy,
![]() In each of the threads you have started, you have been offered the same ( good ) advice, from various people... ![]() GET A WATTAGE POWERFAN ! ![]() I told you in your last thread that a minifan needs a 480BB Race - or a similar sized brushless. If you choose a larger fan - even only slightly larger - you will require more power, which will incur more wieght... If you must use the gear you already have, you must use a Powerfan for the best chance of success. ![]() ( Or a £7 SF turbofan... ) Keven.

thread hijacking !?!
Yeah - I was also wondering what your location was...?
______________________________________________ I have two SF Turbofans here. Each will put out over 12ounces of static thrust with a 6v speed400 motor running off an 8-cell Kan1050-type battery pack at around only 8A. Read about them at the bottom of this page... They are similar to the Powerfan, are the same size, and come with no motor but with a neat inlet ring - for only £7. What's that ? $11 + shipping ? They will accept a speed400, a 480BBRace, or even 400-sized brushless. No I do not have a vested interest - I just know a bargain when I see one ! ![]() Keven. ![]() *edit* For someone on a "tight budget" - £7 = US$12.22 at todays prices ! *edit* |
