Banshee E-3d w/Eflite power .46

I was at the local hobby shop and was drooling over a Cermack Banshee E-3d. I have a Power .46 outrunner and 4 cell packs just asking everyone if the banshee needs more power than the recomended setup or if the .46 will be overkill.

And on a second note if the E-3d is not the plane recomend a 3d plane for the power .46 on 4 cells probably about 600 watts.

Well I have two powered with the Kontronik 500-27 w5.2:1 gear box. This is perfect power. Compare this to your motor. Running on 3s2p 5000mah Tanics. Hovers all afternoon Oh and War Eagle.....class of 67

anywhere from 450 watts up to 750 watts works well int he banchee,.. assuming you have a sufficient prop on it (I like a setup that spins a 16X10 with 500 watts input power). If the prop is too small for the power going in it's not going to give 3D performance. For instance a 9X4.5 at 700 watts won't even hover it even though the watts are up there (yes I've seen one with that setup and they fellow was really dissipointed that he couldn't get good 3d performance with that many watts,..and had no clue that it was the prop size, not the total watts that was the issue). I've flown it on 4S with a15X8 at close to 1000 watts and it's pretty obscene,.. way too much.

Thanks Gary I was thinking along that line but i just wanted to here some feed back. I think this motor will do a 15x8 on 4s but I'll have to check my instructions.

Now I have no excuse!!
