ck,
That sounds more like it. I was looking at the specs on the Warbirds R-C site. With those numbers the performance would be pretty lethargic, and the motors would probably last forever. But if your pulling that kind of amps, it must rock!! BONUS...and the price is right... I may have to try one! Talon |

It's ALIVE (...almost....)
So... as promised, here are some pics following the weekend fray.
No great magic here, but I spent about 2 hours over the weekend getting the 50" TL glassed. Had to fit the motor/electronics late last night for grins and spin it up. I used 6" wide 'glass, as that was all that was available locally. Chris uses 4" in the video, and it may be a little easier to handle, but the 6" worked great for me. Plenty of time to get it applied before the 3M 90 cranked. 6" width made VERY short work of it as well. I am very pleased with the appearance, the rigidity, and the straightness! I left the wing weighted in the (shimmed) beds for both sides and it is flat as a board! Feels like one too.... Ready for covering.... and flight very soon! I'll pick up covering the next night or two and should have it covered by the weekend. Batts may not be in for the weekend maiden though... Fingers crossed... Oh... right... FYI, the prop is on backwards in the pics too.... Spun it up. No wind. Flipped the prop, mucho wind. Chuck (in Aaaala Baaama) |
