Tigercats at SEFF

Bill,

Did you see Mike Hines' Tigercat at SEFF? Seems like a popular subject. I'm seeing lots of posts of really cool planes that were at SEFF. Really wish I went.

Hi Derek,

I saw it and did my level best not to drool all over it. It flew very well to boot. I didn't get to fly mine as the wind was a bit more than I wanted to fight only having one flight on mine. I hope to try 9X7's on it instead of the 8X6's. It flies solid but I need just a little more ooomph. I wish you could have made it to the SEFF it was a blast!

Regards
Bill

Don't make me jealous. I'm still kicking myself for not going.

I hope you get yours "dialed in".

9X7's are the way to go!!!!!! I flew it this eve and boy what a big difference! Duration jumped to over ten minutes and it flew well at 1/2 throttle. I looped it , rolled it and did hammerheads. To say I am pleased with it is an understatment. It makes no nasty moves and slows to a crawl to landing. The Jedelsky wing is a big help in the slow flight department. I did some stall testing and it was a non event. I got one nose drop after popping the elevator. If you leave it just above 1/4 throttle and don't horse it it just boobs along no real loss of altitude it just hangs in there with the elevator all the way back. I like it enough that I'll probably paint it! I found a bunch of magazines with Tigercat articles and lots of differnt schemes, now to pick one.

Regards
Bill

Bill,

Glad to here the great flight report. What's a Jedelsky wing?

By the way, have you noticed this thread:

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...threadid=48734

It's another guy making a cool plane with twin GWS-A's. He's having a little problem with the wing not being stiff enough. See the 2nd post on the 3rd page. Based on your success here, maybe your could suggest something to him.
