Rounding leading edges ???

I built a 3dbatix bipe and am now building the Elevensor, the large Tensor. It's from 6 mil depron and was wondering what the general opinion is about rounding the leading edges of the flying surfaces. That would be the wings and the horz and vert tail surfaces.

Any thoughts?

im no expert here but i would think rounding the edges would slightly reduce the drag on the plane. whether enought to notice im not sure. I dont think it would give it any airfoil characturistics, but like i said im no expert

So aside from slightly less drag it sure wont hurt the plane

It might affect the stall characteristics of the aircraft, a rounded leading edge lends itself more to a softer stall than a sharp one.

Having said that, a 6mm airfoil is pretty sharp anyway. I'd leave it as is, just to keep the speed down.

Rounded edges on the tail will smooth out pitch control.

IIRC, it will make any stalls softer. However, you don't necessarily want that, as 3D flying usually requires sharp stalls in any case.

I don't think you'll see much difference in drag at the speeds that plane is designed to go
