Let me know what prop and battery? Also be sure to get it in cool air flow With that plane, I think the APC 6x4 would be your best bet

What is the best setup for speed with this puppy? I have both 3 and 4s lipos and will get whatever prop I need to get the most out of this motor...looking to put it on a the X-31 converted to pusher.

Thanks,

Hi Guys,
Don't let the smooth taste fool Ya! Look what happens when you split an Atom!

I think jetset44's F-5 is about 22oz's and his flew fine. My FW190 weighs 18.6 oz's and it does 123 mph!! As far as props go, remember to keep the motor in the airstream to keep it cool, and keep your amps around 20 static. If you go 4s, keep your watts around 250 and you'll be fine. Just remember to keep WOT at 250 watts to 1 minute bursts. It will work great on 4s with a 4.75x4.75 and 3s with that prop up to a 6x5.5 on lighter planes like Aerocats and King Kitty's

We have no desire to go that large for now. Besides, why come out with a motor that is just equal to all the rest? Until I can build a large motor as good or better than Steve Neu, why bother We have no desire to be anything but the upper echelon in motor design and technology "We are not your Father's AXI"

I ran my PJ on 4s just to see

OH BABY!!!! My King Kitty needs some repairs before Saturday MWE!! It totally stressed the rudders and booms to failure And the Sound!! I think my A-4 will be 4s from the git-go and a 4.1x4.1 APC. The real A-4's were not supersonic, but this one will be!!

Has anyone tested the PJ motor on a thrust stand?
It would be good to get some more info on the current, Thrust and pitch with a few different props.
What is the maxium continous current the motor can handle with airflow?
