I ordered the mAh 360 Rhino packs when they were back ordered. It took HC
four days to fill the order after I received the e-mail that the packs were back in stock. The previous order was in process for five days. The prices are great even though the service may be lacking.

My last HC order took 5 days to process, then one more day to ship. In the past is was processed and shipped in less than a day.

It happened to me a few weeks ago. I think they showed it shipped on the third day.

Nate,

My JR Transmitter is an XP642. No module, just a crystal, so probably not much use to you. Sorry.

Jeff

Speaking of radios. Have you guys checked out the new Airtronics SD-10G? If you haven't, here are some videos covering the radio. The vids are distinctly heli oriented, but so what, most of the info can be applied to planks.

Any requests for airfoils? I've cut a sipkill 48 with a real deep chord and tip and less sweep. I also want to try out some Peter Wick airfoils. I've got a 48" pw51 that Im trying to decide on if I should use it for combat or slope. The next airfoil I would like to try is a 48" pw75. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=387891

Peter Wick has come up with some very popular sloping/ds airfoils that I would like to try with powered combat.

I can cut any airfoil you like if we stick to a couple planforms.

Like a build your own combat wing, choose a planform (deep sweep or less sweep) choose an airfoil and thickness up to 2" and maybe we can find the best all around combat airfoil. For your help in testing I will be offering the custom cut experimental cores for say $20 for under 2" thick airfoil or $25 dollars for under 3" thick airfoil. The conditions are that your write up a detailed build log and flight report which we can post on our website and improve our hobby.

I don't want to undercut anyone's business so this is only going to be a limited thing.

Anyone want to help me do some testing?

I asked people what shape and airfoil they wanted and we made a whole lot of strange looking wings! Its can be fun - as long as your friends make them - but I would end up doing it for them I guess...

After all that, I settled on the current proportions which are governed by: Sweepback - specific to get the right cg with all gear installed in the "usual place", root cord enough to fit the gear on the wing. Finally, the wider the wingtip, the easier it is to fly as it is harder to tip stall... Thats my 2 cents worth!

I have not played around too much with other airfoils as I love the sipkill one too much and it has great performance in all conditions and sizes of wings. For the usual construction methods though, it may be a bit thin and weak? I think that is why it's not so common - or is it?

Was that another 2 cents?

Just checking one more time to see if anyone is going down to the Sod Farm this weekend. If not, are there any plans here.

Well I heard back from Horizon about the switch...they wont sell it, so it looks like I will be taking one of you up on the replacement since I am not sure of my soldering ability. I will take it apart one of these days coming up to see if it looks too difficult. Here is what they wrote back incase anyone else needs something like that answered.

Aaron,

You would need to send in the radio for repair. We do not sell the switch off the radio's.

Please send your DX7 (along with a copy of your sales receipt if this is a warranty issue) to:

Horizon Service
Attn: Service Dept.
4105 Fieldstone Rd.
Champaign, IL 61822

Also include a note with your name, address, daytime contact number and a description of how the product failed and/or what you would like done to the item. You may also simply print and fill out our Service & Repair Center Checklist found here:

Thanks, Aaron, that's a piece of RC history.

I'm not going down to Orem Saturday. If you end up sticking around here, let me know and we can set something up locally.
