Hi Viper,

I think you need a bit more thrust to push the FunJet trough the air and to keep the speed.
So maybe the 5x5 prop is better if the battery and ESC holds the amps.
Of course you can start with 4.7x4.7 but compaired to the Microjet the FunJet will be slower with this setup then the MicroJet.

To those of you who have indicated that you want a FunJet, I'm waiting for a response from Mr. Höllein regarding cost. We have the six minimum planes for a shipping discount, assuming he will give us the same deal he gave us on the MiniMag.

If anyone else wants one, let me know by Friday.

When I get the pricing information, I'll give you my PayPal email address and shipping address via PM.

Thank you for putting this together Jeremy. Keep me informed.

Assuming it's the same price as the MiniMag in Europe, (Jürgen, can you verify?) They should be about $90 apiece, to your door. If it's cheaper, I'll let you know when Stefan gets back to me.

I also have to include the cost of re-packing. (No, I won't be making a profit on that.) I'll have to buy the right size boxes from a local store, but I'll get the packing material free from work. (premium stuff, too!)

Jürgen: if you have Stefan's direct email address, would you please PM it to me? I emailed him yesterday and haven't heard a response yet. I'm a bit surprised at this. Tell him there is a crowd of American just dying to send him money. I'll just point him to this thread. I'd be surprised if he isn't a member of RCGroups.

Once I get the price, I'll post it here and give you all details. Then, I'll give another week or so for everyone to get their money to me.

Hey Treediver,

Sure it's gona be fun. Have mine ready now.
Had it running on my desk. First of all, the funjet is much less noisy then our beloved picojet, and I mean realy MUCH ! It sure runs smooth, thanks to the super new motormount...it's a masterpiece.
I had 'm running with the 5,5 x 4,3 graupner camspeed and she drawed 17,6 Amps. With the 5,5 x 5,5 camspeed she asked for 19,5 Amps.
So, no problem for our setups ( mega 16/15/4 , 1800 polyquest lipo 3s1p , and the bullitproof Castle Creations phoenix 25.

Now it's waiting for the weather to clear up.

To all the folks out there waiting to get your hands on the funjet: we will keep you posted, in the mean time, HOLD ON !!

Rob.

By the way,

forgot to mention, multiplex did a real good job on this one.
Together with Treediver, we had an oldfashioned foamie evening putting the funjet together.
All the parts have a perfekt fit, the only thing we had to adjust was to clear some foam in the wing as the spar to prevent the wing from snapping is 1/3 " to long, but that's a peanut

She looks great, get one a.s.a.p.

Hi,

Ready to be maiden
StyroGlue...pitty of the sound, but she will look much better in the air then a PicoJet
19amps...that is less than I tought. We can go up to 25amps...so maybe we should also try a 6x6
