I was suprised to see the guy start it in the back of his car I'd prefer to put that motor in slightly larger, more forgiving platform...........at least until I got used to it. More wing would require less running on the launch too

Yes that is. That's the first Funjet turbine I've seen, but I did see some pretty cool video on a Twinjet with a mini turbine on it. Sweet, but those are so expensive.

Oh man that was sweet. I'm surprised that didn't turn into a weenie roast on launch. Sweet flyer. Hopefully one day these will come down in price so I can get into turbines, even the mini ones. They sound fantastic. Thanks for the video, I hadn't seen that one before.

I launch at 3/4 throttle and throw at about a 60 degree angle up.

I was told by a friend to try half throttle on launch on my Stryker and man it is nice to launch it that way or just a little above half. Slowdragon

That's torque roll, normal, mine does it. I do full throttle and a hard slightly up throw. I'm using a 6x4 prop so it bites better/quicker. It's more of a challenge with the smaller props.

I have learned not to freak out as it looses altitude and rolls. Quick jerky pokes of the stick bring it down. Small easy corrections with some expo and it's off.

Don't make the mistake my buddy is good at - he doesn't pay attention to the wind and sometimes launches with it, not too helpful.

Evolution of addiction.......

Wow first slowflyers, then pusher props, then EDF's and now I can easily see moving forward into the small turbine$! There is something about that sound that can just catalyze one's need for speed!

Yeah, I know what you mean. If it wasn't so expensive I'd already be flying a turbine. Maybe one day they'll drop enough for the average joe to run. I doubt it, but one can alway hope.

Thats a good 3s motor but on 4s your prop size will be too small to go fast. they run hot.
