Sperry Messenger build from free MAN plans

Hey I just got my April issue of Model Airplane News yesterday, and it has a write up on a micro (13" span) Sperry Messenger with free online plans.

I am just finishing up another project and I have been hankering for a ~35" span biplane with simple lines and lots of character, it looks like MAN was reading my mind! The April issue is not yet up on the MAN site, but when is is available I plan to blow them up and start building a foam model based on this simple, all sheet balsa design. And I *plan* to document the build right here. Attached are a few photos and line drawings I found on the web, and the link is to a thread on John Blankenship's 30" span all balsa messenger.

Okay the April issue is finally up on Modelairplanenews.com but the 'click trip' or whatever that has the free plan is still not up. I'm very eager to get my hands on that plan so I can begin a redesign for 6mm "C" foam. The wide, rectangular undercambered wings should make this a real floaty bipe. I'm planning on using streamlined aluminum tube over a CF rod stiffener for the struts because in this particular model they have to handle both tension and compression loads.

With a little advice I am almost done with the first draft of the adapted plan. Here is a screenshot of the plan so far. Relative to the horizontal stab, the motor has 2 drg down thrust, the lower wing has 2 degrees positive incidence, and the upper wing has 3 degrees positive incidence.
