Is that 12s 5000?

I have my packs under the ducting in front of the retracts, they go in thru the gear doors. I used 2 small air tanks teed together to make one tank but gives me versatility in where I want to put them (I have mine under the turtledeck behind the cockpit). I would have the ESC countersink into the ducting, preferably after the fan, this would provide some weight twords the back. If you are running 12s you have to put one battery under the ducting like I mentioned, the other goes in thru the cockpit. If you are running a lower cell count both batteries go where I have mine. The rx pack can then be put we're ever you need it to balance. Your panel lines look awesome!

+1 what Brian said. Split the batteries. Check our website as we show some tips on battery placement (www.jethangar.com under aircraft link). Also as he mentioned, place the esc partially exposed in the exhaust duct. This will help with getting in there and also help keep the esc temps way down.

thanks a lot Brian! those lipos are 5000 10s and i swear to god i have no room! they do not fit in the turtle neck! they are turngy 5000 10s 20c and I have nowhere else except in the cockpit! under the ducting i have no room either I have the air bottles there! The esc is to big to go over the fan the top cover won't close! Rx battery is not a problem it can go in the back..
Should I change battery pack or add some weight in the tail? It weights 13,5lbs .

Yeah... Sorry man but you need to get the packs under the ducting in front of the gear, thats the place for them! put the airtanks under the turtle deck.

Mine is on 10s 4000 and they are in the spot I reccomended, this will solve the CG problem. You might have to put the rx pack under the thrust tube but I would get everything in place (not permanently) and try the cg so you can get an idea where everything needs to go. There is not alot of room for airtanks, I have 3 small ones in mine (2 teed for retracts and 1 for brakes) they all sit under the turtle deck. My RX is on the side of the fuselage next to the cockpit. My RX pack is in the nose but I only have 4000 mah so your goingto have to experiment on where yours is going to go.

I know its alow of work but its a nice, beautiful jet, its worth doing it right!

Explain what way it doesn't fit, you might need to remove a little material from the former it slides over, those batteries should fit!

20C batts are not enough for this jet, let alone any EDF in my opinion.

25c 5000's can handle 125 amps. He is pulling 93 so no problem.

Jetnfast the lower the c the lighter the batteries! I always run least amount of Discharge rating I can leaving headroom. I'm powering my 135 amp 6k plus 19lb or thrust Falcon with 25c 8000's and they barely get warm!

Fab,

In my opinion the lighter you can make her the better! Mine is pretty light and I have 10s 4000 but I am pulling 80-85 amps and its not a lot of flight time. Which I don't mind with this jet.

You really need to plan things out when it comes to EDF, especially scale EDF. You have an HV160 which is way overkill, you should have a 120 or an hv 160 lite, that would save some weight. I would try to stick with the 5000 by putting one of the packs in front of the gear and the other in the cockpit. You will need to put your ESC back behind the fan and your rx pack in the tail under the thrust tube.

I really don't understand why they don't fit. Like I said my buddy had 30c 9s 6600 in that spot with the Turbax fan!
