Thanks Guys, its been a fun project! I am on to the scale details now but I should have her all done up in a couple weeks and I will post the finished product! I will try to get some video soon as well.

Nearly 2 years since i bought this kit and after a move back to europe i am nearly ready...
Need to buy some decals and adjust the landing gears door
I a couple of weeks i should be airborne I will post some pics later

Nice!! I have some video of mine just need to get around to posting it.

I would set the rudder up with little to no throw for the first couple flights, be sure the nose gear is on a seperate channel than the rudder.

still having some troubles with the doors...

Well change it. It is always a good idea to have the nose gear on a separate channel for trimming and travel adjustments.

The reason this is so important on this model is the rudder does not respond the way it does on other models. It will create roll in addition to yaw. I can bet that some of the guys that crashed theirs on take off a few years ago were adding a good amount or nose gear steering on takeoff roll to keep it straight, this is adding a good amount of rudder as well, once they would lift off the rudder would then roll the plane over and result in a crash. I am only using less than a of an inch travel on the rudder. Keep in mind you don’t need rudder to fly the jet! For the first few flights keep it out of the equation and focus on flying, once you get used to it start adding in some rudder travel and experiment with it up high. The model fly’s great and looks amazing in the air!

The gear doors just take time to get setup and they are frustrating but once setup your good!

My best advice on this model is no crosswinds for the first few flights, and before you pull it off the ground make sure she is really moving out to be safe!

+1 to the above, treat the rudder with great care......best to have nose gear steering on a separate channel for easier trimming out.

Another hint: if you see wing rocking it means you are TOO SLOW

One more thing, do the first few flights with out the wing pylons. I have them on mine now and they do add a good amount of drag. It dosent bother me and I love the looks of them but it requires a bit more throttle to fly. Once you feel comfortable with the jet then add them.

Brian's recommendations are good ones. Setup the steering as you need it, but minimize the rudder surface deflection. The rudder makes the airplane do weird things if the throws are too large. Cross-winds can be tough based on the configuration of the airplane, so on the test flight, avoid a cross-wind if you can. Once the airplane is trimmed out and flying well, you can start exploring cross-wind approaches.

I've gotten to see Brian fly his SLUF a number of times and he's got his flying really well.

thanks a lot guys everything is working...waiting to get the decals from callie.
However I am having some problems with the cg... lipos 2 turngy 5000mA 5s do not fit in the bulkhead and with a ICE 160 esc it is too nose heavy...

Yep I was planning on it, probably bring the A-7, Falcon and the Eflite F-4 with the jetfan in it.

Was wanting to have my F-15 ready but looks like its going to take another week or so before maiden.

Here are some pictures...as you can see only one battery goes in the bulkhead and my 160A esc doesn't fit in the fusolage on top the fan. In front of the landing gear compartment i have the bottles for the brakes and the retracts. Everything is so cram!! The only space that i have left is the canopy!
