Does it have to up on Edge like that or can you lay it flat? I was thinking on flat as this give more glueing area.
Oh yeah BTW Dave I orderd one of those Walkera Motors from www.AWLhobbies.com (The 3200KV) for 24 bucks i thought i couldn`t lose. I will let everyone know how it goes. Regards Mal |

That motor should treat you well. Thats going to be one fast cheap plane! About the supports on the leading edge: Sounds to me if you put them that way it should work and look great. The only thing I can say is that my buddy Keith once put his carbon supports in at an angle. He sanded the leading edges so rather than being flat it was angeld down... if that makes sense. What it ended up doing was creating "spoilers" in the front and along side of the plane. You know how Indy cars have that spoiler in the front angled down to keep the front end down? - same thing was going on here. Plane flew a litle weird cause of it So thats as much as I know so far. As long as the leading edges are flat or rounded it will be fine. Just don't have them "angled" if that makes any sense. Dave PS: Those extra funny pieces of depron are for scrap. I put some extra in all the orders so guys can do repairs if - I mean when needed. Let me know if you need any extra depron for anything else. I got so much depron over here I am adding on a bedroom in the back made completely out of depron if the city doesn't catch me first!

The absolute KEY to getting this plane to fly (this is CLASSIFED info here so keep it quiet) was angling the elevons without angling the wing! If you look at a scale Stealth the elevons are slanted so far back that the wind just goes right by them and they are very ineffective. This is why many people have had to "spread the wings out" on thier attempts to build RC 117s in hopes to get the wind to hit the elevons. 3 things on this F117 that must remain in place are: 1) Elevon proportions 2) Width of the plane 3) CG Do whatever else you want to it (build a scale body, put a EDF in it, whatever) and is flys fine as long as you leave these 3 alone. Here is a pic of 2 of the old test planes: The elevons here are evolving into what they are today. Also notice that we put the motor in the back at first... |

http://www.rcgroups.com/gallery/show...cat=500&page=1 His plane is just perfect! There is no way I could ever do anything better than that... but don't worry, I got some more original/never been done before planes on the way... Dave |
