Jamesdr,

Guess I should have run through the calcs, good info. This setup should be nice then. I wonder if you could go down to a 8 tooth pinion with the stock gearbox (4.25:1 ratio).

So its here at last??? Been eagerly awaiting this plane since last fall when order was placed. GP postponed release a few times. Chances are there will be a box tomorrow at LHS waiting for me

Have not seen it yet but is probably the same low cost bulk 30A ESC shipped with other GP/Hobbico planes (SuperSporter EP, SuperStar EP, GP DC-3). There are no other specifications than the bits in the various manuals. Non-lipo aware. That will be a fourth one here to collect the dust Got a little Axi 2808-20 waiting for the Lancair

Guys, good luck with mounting the outrunners, i think the best way is to mod the fire wall since it just sits to low to match up with the cowl,id hate to modify this beauty but ill see what works. The stock gearbox was a little to long for my AON 2415-4900kv and its being modified by my friend(wildwes4u) so it will be a few days but im thinking about the best way to use an outrunner since the gb is so loud

If the motor mount looks anything like that of a Mini SS, that should not be too hard

Going to be tough getting an outrunner to work without modifying the fuse.

Yup, but it's doable with a band saw .

The following is what I did tonight. I got it today and said "Fire up the saw!!!"

I cut .27" off the nose and fitted a new firewall. Pictures say it all. Tomorrow I'm laying a bit more epoxy on the inside of the firewall mount.

The 38mm spinner is a perfect fit. The motor is a Himax HC2816-1220 and a MPI spinner.
