I know that they are usually sold for fish food, but why?, they make better pets than the fish!

Sea Monkeys

I always wondered what a Sea Monkey was? What are the little suckers? Some type of brine?

Charles, very pretty fish.

Yes, they are a genetically modified species of brine shrimp. They grow larger and live much longer than the natural variety.

I like "fishies" too. Here's a pic of my dear "Tweety".

Is getting too big to be kept at home and frozen cows are too expensive, so I'll make a donation to someone who can take care of him.

I had a Tiger Oscar once that got to about a pound in size. My pastor and his wife came over to visit and she was admiring him. He was hungry and she made the grave mistake of dabbling her finger in the water. Needless to say, he grabbed her finger and tried to haul her into the aquarium for lunch.
You shoulda heard the scream.
Both Pastor Ric and I got into mucho trouble for finding humor at her expense.

I certainly hope those brine shrimp are in a Federally certified aquarium, with all the rights and privileges due.
Out here, those guys are a protected species.
Spill a little fuel on a dry lake bed, and the EPA Feds come sniffing around.. The USAF and NASA go thru the wringer when they crash a full-scale!
"Oh, those poor shrimp!"
It's a real "environmental impact"!

I think they live in Mono Lake, a salty neighborhood.
