BCX - How do I externalize the 4-in-1 LED

I really want to make the 4-in-1 LED be more visible in hopes of saving the battery from over discharge. As soon as the LED blicks red, I would power down and go recharge. I dont want to have to fly it from the side to be able to watch for the change to red. Clearly the circuit board is too tiny to patch some new wires in. Some type of fibre-optic rod/cable that would direct the light to a more visible spot makes sense to me. Any ideas?

Rowdy, I think ya got a good idea there. Maybe get some fiber optic tubing at Hobby Lobby ( the crafts store) ya could prob'ly put in 4 or 5 pcs to show from any angle.

would a sheet of canopy plastic with aluminum foil glued to it (shine side out) work as a mirror, placed at a angle or curved to reflect the light forward through the canopy work for you?
