scratch built torpedo sterned lobster boat NEEDS A NAME

Suggestions needed for a name just leave a reply if you think of one. You guys can even vote on the suggestion you like the best.

We've started building a torpedo stern lobsterboat. It is designed after the torpedo sterns of the 1920's. It is 51" long and 13" at widist point. It will be painted with a traditional paint job, white top, copper bottom, buff trim, varnished cabin and commings. It'll be powered by a 18v motor on a 3:1 gear on a 12v battery. This will push it along enough to have fun with .

here are some more pics for anyone interested.
not a racer just something to go and sail for an hour. But it could easily be converted to be a racer .

Should make for a strong boat! In the picures, looks like you might be using nails to tack everything up as well?

We use nails for most of it but we also use screws to hold in the bow and stern. We've had a collision before with two of our other boats. One hit head on into the side of the other and all it did to the on hit was dent the gaurd. So they are a stong boat. that was a test that we really didnt want to really go out and do but it hapened.

I imagine things can happen quickly if there is a lot of traffic at mark roundings, etc. while racing! Nice boats! I look forward to seeing more!

Hey guys your boat is looking great,I can't wait to see it this summer.I was looking at some pics of a couple of full size boats that a Willis Beal built up your way. Those torpedo stern boats are really sharp looking. There is even a pic. of a model that Alvin beal had built.Keep up the good work! Hey, Harry and Brian. You guys have been holding out on me!!... :-}. Found this site quite by accident but am glad I did.

I'll be replacing the motor in the BlueJacket with an ASTRO 25 sometime in the next couple months and see how that runs. Will probably try to get up to Beals for the July 4 race this year.
