That Bee is cute! i may have to mod one for myself. Ming , the feet i put upside down so they wont drag in th edirt. hheeheh dragging my feet huh? :-) but the other Bats look good with different tips. Ive got some sheets of 2mm coroplast ordered and ill make someting different. the standard bee tips i lik ebest i could tell which is which. my Batski weighs less than 20ozs.
i need to add about one more to get ideal for my plane. other than that,its the basic kit. i dont ds so its great like it is. zips from flat ground like i said is really fun. keep her low and go out as far as i can and make it back, without a long walk. but when i let it go , there isnt a speck of flutter from this wing. rock solid.! i dont have no complaints. easy plane to fly. gonna slope it soon. see you peeps later!

Is it look very like Bat?

Should I modify this Bat to 52 or 54 inch wingspan? the wingspan now is 48.25 inch.

Ming, I vote for a 54" or 60" bat.

I love the way the bat flys, it is a bit squirlley though. Maybe need bigger 'feet'

Sure 54 or 60 inch is faster, but some limitation on tooling and machine.

Ming,
I recommend you increase the size of the Bat to 60", or the biggest wingspan you can do. The larger the better.

If you do increase the wingspan, I strongly suggest you revise the spar design to accomodate 1 large spar through the wing, similar to the M60.

I have recently clocked my "Extreme Bat" in a speed run at 155km/h on the slope (with a speed gun), and DSing speeds are similar although Im sure it will go much faster in the right conditions.

Hey ming, must congratulate you on the bat. I finally had some wind to fly in and it flies very nicely indeed. the wind was only about 10 knots but it was very fast. This is my first fast model so i'm still learning to let it run and keep the speed up but it was great to fly from the first throw.

Tnis 3 Bat went to Man on Man racing on last Sunday.

We have enough here now to start racing them!. I flew with 3 other bats yesterday. How is the "big bat" coming along?

I like the look of the top Bat in the photo Ming. Is that trailing edge double tapered? If so, does it fly any different?

PS You should see the finish Paul got on his Bat. It is by far the cleanest and smoothest finish Ive seen on any foamie. I originally thought it was a balsa Bat!! Well done Paul.
