Hi there Siddus74

Don't think about it, just build it...hahaha

If you take a first look at the drawings it looks like a lot of work, but that ain't so!. It's a lot of fun building this beauty.

my config:

2 x brushless E-max CF2822 ( but the CF 2212 is also OK !) (Ebay)

2 x esc. Turnigy 25 Amp
4 x Servo - HXT 900 ( Hobbyking.com )
battery: LiPo - Zippy 3S-2200 mAh
Receiver:Multiplex IPD/synth. 7
But i'm going to switch it over to my spektrum 2,4 gHz

This set-up gives me a minimum of 20-25 minutes flying time...and i'm verry satisfied with it.

Go for it...

regards Gert

Thanks for the prompt reply, what are the KV rating of the motors you have and what props are you using?

Best Regards,

Scott.

The E-max CF2822 is a 1200kv, and it swings a 8x3,8 without any problems..

The weight of my PT2XL is 600 grams, so there's no problem going vertical all the way

I will try to find the build pictures I found on the internet, and of my own build, This wil be a big help for you..

To make you drewl...Here's the video (again) of the first waterflight....

You can fly it verry slow, that's one of the many good things about this plane. This is my favorite plane to put my camera on
And..you realy can land it at you'r feet, and especialy take off's from the local pond or kalm river or a joy to the eye...

Hopefully not to off topic.

Does anyone have the plans for the mini puddle twin or dxf files for the puddle II twin? Would like to fly off of local ponds in MN and the "lake" in Arizona City, AZ.

thanks

The pdf file for the .66 is on the thread. I believe it is within the first 10 pages or so.

Hello from Greece!!
I'm in the process of building this marvelous plane and i would like to ask a question to all of you that already build it.
Does this plane have any dihedral or the wing is straight?
also is there any photo of anybody showing how the elevator and the rudder are mounted?

Thanks in advance for your answers !!

Well if you look back 1 page, just 15 posts ago it was 2006. I have nothing to add because I never finished my build. I don't think all that many people have built them. I got frustrated by the wings and didn't have enough of the right depron with me (I was abroad) to finish them. I then got distracted by other projects.

So yeah, I guess the thread is pretty dead.
